Paradise Holiday Lighting

FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

If yours isn't here, ask on the quote form. I read every one.

Who actually shows up at my house?

Trent. I design the layout, I'm at the install, and the fix-it call comes to my phone. The two people with me are people I trained, not a crew I found in October. Ask any other installer in Las Vegas who is going to be on your roof. I just told you.

Do I own the lights?

No, and that's the point. Owning lights means storing them, testing them every fall, and paying to replace them when they fail. We own them. If a strand fails, we replace it within 48 hours at no charge. In January we take everything down, label it with your name, and store it. You never see a box of lights.

What happens if I move?

The agreement follows you, not the house. Move inside our service area and we quote the new house with your renewal discount intact. Move out of the area and the agreement ends at the end of the season. You owe nothing further.

What if I cancel?

Before your install date, your deposit comes back in full. After the lights are cut to your house, the deposit is non-refundable, because those runs are cut to your roofline and nobody else's. There is no fee for not renewing. If you don't renew, you don't renew.

Do you do permanent lights?

Not this year. If you want permanent track lighting, check the permanent box on the quote form. I'll connect you with a company I trust and coordinate the job. This year we do seasonal, and we do it right.

When do you install?

Installs start Oct 20. The two weeks before Thanksgiving are the rush. Book by October 31 and you pick your date. Takedown is finished by January 31, earlier if your HOA needs it.

What kind of lights?

Commercial-grade C9 LED bulbs on commercial socket cord, cut to your roofline on site and clipped every 12 inches. Warm white and multicolor are in stock. Other colors by request at booking. A timer is included with every install.

What about my HOA?

Check your HOA's display dates before we quote. Most in Henderson and Summerlin allow lights from around November 1 through mid-January. The rules are your responsibility, but send them to me and I'll read them before the install. Our takedown is done by January 31 regardless.

How much does it cost?

From $8 per linear foot of roofline in year one, with a $799 minimum. A typical 150-ft front runs about $1,150. Add-ons are flat: trees, garage outline, second story, wreaths. The full list is on the pricing page, and the calculator there will get you within a few dollars.

How do you attach lights to a tile roof?

Clips that ride the first course of tile and touch nothing else. No nails, no staples, no adhesive, no drilling. On homes with a fascia board we use fascia clips, which give the straightest line. Either way the clips come off clean in January.

Do you do trees and bushes?

Yes. Trunk wraps, canopy wraps, and bush nets are on the add-on list at a flat price per group of up to three. If the tree is the star of your yard, say so on the quote form.

What is the deposit?

50% at signing, balance on install day, both by invoice. The deposit holds your date. It's refundable in full if you cancel before the install or if weather stops us, and non-refundable once the lights are cut to your house.

Do you do commercial?

Yes: storefronts, HOA common areas, and small hospitality. Commercial jobs are quoted after a site visit because lifts and power change the math. Details on the commercial page.

Why not just buy lights myself?

You can. Then you're on the ladder, you're storing them, you're testing them every October, and you're buying replacements when they fail. Most people who buy a set do it once. Most people who lease do it every year.

What if it rains or blows?

We don't install in wind over 25 mph or in rain, and we'll move your date rather than rush it. If your date moves, you hear from me the day before, not the morning of.
